Manufacturing Process: Injection Molding

Almost all components made of these materials are mass produced by the injection molding process.

• Process: PP is molded as molten material at high pressures into a precision steel or aluminum die.

• Benefits: Fast production, excellent consistency, low cost per unit, and creation of intricate shapes with built-in features such as bosses, ribs, and snap fits.

• For Shells: Die design is key and usually involves side actions and lifters to form the enclosed structure.

• Why PP? 
• PP's chemical resistance and stress cracking make it the preferred material. It can also be engineered with additive modifications for UV resistance (important when used in an outdoor environment) or added strength.
