Waterproof Design

• IP Ratings: The enclosures have ratings that follow the IP rating standard. For instance, an enclosure that is rated as IP67 is completely dustproof and water-tight, meaning that it can be immersed in water up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes without any water entering the interior. Enclosures that are IP68-rated have an even higher water resistance level.
• Waterproof Seals: The enclosures make use of rubber gaskets or O-rings to seal off the area between the lid and the body of the box. Some enclosures also provide waterproof seals for their threaded fittings used to accommodate cables or other openings.
