Industrial Plastic Shell Manufacturing Process

Our industrial plastic enclosures are made through injection molding technology and are used to protect and house industrial control devices, electronics, instrumentation and power equipment as well as automation systems. We offer total solutions starting from DFM analysis, mold design, mold manufacturing, trial runs, volume production, secondary operations and final quality control. You can customize your enclosures according to your 3D models, engineering drawings or physical prototypes. Our products have excellent dimensional tolerance, uniform surface finish and international standard material.

Main Manufacturing Process Flow

1. **DFM Analysis & Moldflow Simulation**

Wall thickness, draft angle, rib design, snap fit and undercut analysis, also gate locations. Moldflow simulation helps identify melt flow pattern, shrinkage, warpage and air trap potential to avoid any defect before mold production.

2. **Mold Design & Mold Production**

3D mold structure designing, roughing & finishing through CNC, EDM, wire cut, polishing and etching for textures. Popular mold steels include P20, 718H, H13, depending on mold life requirements.

3. **Material Preparation & Drying**

Pellets of engineering plastics like ABS, PC, PC+ABS, PP, PA6, PA66, POM are pre-dried to avoid moisture problems that could result in splay, bubbles and silver streaks.

4. **Plastic Injection Molding Process**

Melting of plastic followed by injection of melted plastic under high pressure and post processes of packing, cooling and ejection. Process conditions will be set after approval of T1 samples to ensure reliable mass production.

5. **Additional Finishing Processes**

Deflashing, sanding, painting, UV coating, silk screen printing, laser engraving, pad printing, assembly, ultrasonic welding and over molding as requested.

6. **Complete QC & Packing for Delivery**

Dimensional inspection, appearance inspection, assembly fit testing, raw material certificate checking and shock proof packing using foam & cartons.
