How to identify the quality of injection molds? - UHMW wear ring.

First, distinguish from materials and design:
 
The most important aspect of injection molding is the material. So, what kind of material is good?  Of course, a material with high hardness, strong corrosion resistance, and good polishing performance, resulting in a mold that can be used for a long time, indicates good quality. The overall design of the mold, including ejector pins and core pulling; the design of the gate, parting surface, vents, and gate size and location should all be reasonable. Then, check whether the injection mold opens and closes smoothly and whether the product dimensions are qualified.
 
Then, you can look at the mold's craftsmanship:
 
To distinguish the quality of plastic mold technology, first, check whether the dimensions of the injection molded product are qualified. Secondly, the appearance of the injection molded part should be clean, and there should be no burrs on the joint surface, sliders, or cores. If all of the above can be achieved, then this set of molds is a qualified mold.
 
Finally, distinguish from the quality of the molded product:
 
1. Stability and consistency of product dimensions, surface finish, and material utilization.
 
2. Service life: The number of work cycles or parts produced that the mold can complete while ensuring product quality. 3. Whether the mold is easy to use and maintain, whether demolding is easy, and whether auxiliary production time is as short as possible; continuous maintenance costs, maintenance cycle, etc.
 
Knowing the following determining factors, we can find ways to improve the quality of the mold. The basic method of mold design is the most important step to improve mold quality. Many factors need to be considered, including the selection of mold materials, the usability and safety of the mold structure, the machinability of mold parts, and the convenience of mold maintenance. The design should be considered more carefully.
