There are many public molds for cosmetic packaging on the market today, but creating unique and innovative products requires customized molds. This allows you to design the desired product and secure a strong market. Let's take a look at the specific process for lip gloss tube injection mold processing.
Injection molding is a common method for manufacturing industrial products. This process involves processing rubber and plastic to achieve the desired shape. There are several types of injection molds, and the process should be selected based on the requirements of the product being molded.
1. Single-Parting Surface Injection Mold
When the mold is opened, the movable and fixed molds are separated, allowing for the removal of the molded part. This is called a single-parting surface mold. This type of mold is the simplest type of injection mold and can be categorized as either single-cavity or multi-cavity, depending on the design. It is widely used in today's production.
2. Double-Parting Surface Injection Mold
Double-parting surface injection molding has two parting surfaces. Compared to single-parting surface injection molds, double-parting surface injection molds have a movable center plate in the fixed mold section, hence the name three-plate injection mold. They are commonly used for single-cavity or multi-cavity molds with point-gating.
3. Injection Molds with Lateral Parting and Core Pulling Mechanisms
When a part has side holes or side depressions, a laterally movable core or slide is required. After injection molding, the movable mold moves downward a certain distance. Then, the inclined surface of a bent pin fixed to the fixed platen forces the slide outward, allowing the ejector rod of the ejector mechanism to release the part from the core.
4. Injection Molds with Movable Molding Components
Due to the unique structure of certain plastic parts, the injection molding process may require movable molding components, such as movable punches, dies, inserts, threaded cores, or rings. These components can be removed from the mold along with the part during demolding and separated.
5. Automatic Thread Removal Injection Molds
For parts with threads that require automatic demolding, a freely rotating threaded core or ring can be installed in the mold. The mold opening action or the injection molding machine's rotary mechanism can rotate the threaded core or ring to eject the part.
6. Runnerless Injection Molds
Runnerless injection molds use adiabatic heating of the runners to maintain a molten state between the injection molding machine nozzle and the mold cavity, ensuring that no gating material accumulates during mold opening and part removal.
7. Injection Molds with a Demolding Mechanism on the Fixed Mold
In injection molds, the demolding mechanism is installed on the movable mold side. This greatly assists the ejector mechanism in the injection molding machine's mold opening and closing system. In actual production, due to shape constraints, retaining the molded part on the fixed mold side can greatly facilitate molding.
