Injection molds are important process equipment for producing various industrial products. Wire cutting is mainly used for processing molds with straight walls, such as punches and dies in stamping, inserts and sliders in injection molds, and electrodes for EDM. For mold parts with very high hardness, which cannot be machined using conventional methods, EDM is mostly used.  EDM is also used for sharp corners, deep cavities, and narrow grooves in mold cavities. CNC lathes are mainly used for processing standard mold components such as rods, and for machining mold cavities or cores of rotating bodies, such as injection molds for bottles and basins, and forging dies for shafts and disc-shaped parts. In mold processing, the application of CNC drilling machines can also improve processing accuracy and shorten processing cycles.
 
Molds have a wide range of applications. The forming and processing of product components in modern manufacturing almost always require the use of molds. Therefore, the mold industry is an important part of the national high-tech industry and a valuable technological resource.
