The injection molding plastic shell is made from materials such as ABS, PC, PC/ABS, FRP ABS, and PP. Among these materials, the most widely applied one is the injection molding shell material of ABS.

Characteristics

1. Injection Molding

All of shell base, screw column, snap fit, heat dissipation ribs, mounting ears, and wall mounting holes can be molded in the same process without needing any secondary welding assembly. The design is very much integrated.

2. Modular Structure

Usually, it is designed as an upper cover/base + panel combination, which uses internal plastic positioning columns and fixes the PCB circuit board by screws. It can be easily assembled.

3. Multi-functional Integrated Structure

Mold gives the heat dissipation slot, outlet, wall mounting slot, rack snap-fit, waterproof ribs, and screw sinking hole; and interface opening positions like USB, power supply, terminals, and display screen can be reserved.

4. Extraordinarily High Shape Flexibility

It can be manufactured in right angle industrial type, round corner domestic type, ultra thin type, rack standard type, matte/gloss/frosted finish and multi-colored injection molding.

5. Insulation & Safe Construction

The construction is totally an insulating one without any metal at all. Inside parts remain insulated from outside.

Features

High durability; resistant to falling and impact; the tendency to crack or break as a result of being bumped is less likely to occur. More shock-resistant when compared to iron sheets and thin aluminum shells;

Low weight; lighter than metal shells having the same volume, with more than 50% reduction in weight;

Resistance to acids, alkalis, and oils, not susceptible to corrosion; can be used in moist and slightly corrosive environment;

Heat-insulating; heat generated inside the shell will not be conducted on its surface and may lead to burning of operators;

Does not interfere with radio waves transmission. Routers, gateways, and Bluetooth devices work best with plastic shells.
