Professional Injection Molding Process

Design & Quote: You will provide a 3D CAD and 2D drawing. Your supplier analyzes it from the DFM point of view and gives you a quote regarding the cost of the mold (tooling) and price per unit of parts.
Prototype (optional): A test run of the product can be performed using either 3D printing or soft tooling mold in order to prove the product design.
Mold (Tool) Fabrication: A precision tool made of steel or aluminum is fabricated – the most important step of the process.
Injection Molding: Molten plastic (ABS, PC, PP) is injected into the mold with great pressure forming the part.
Inspection: All the pieces are carefully inspected whether they comply with all the dimensional and visual requirements.
Post-Process & Shipping: Pieces might be painted, cut or assembled and then delivered to you.
