1. Die (Cavity): A concave part that forms the surface of a plastic part.

2. Die Plate (Cavity Plate): A plate-like part with a concave contour that forms the surface of the plastic part. The plate placed in the fixed mold is called the fixed die cavity plate. The plate placed in the movable mold is called the movable die cavity plate.

3. Core: A convex part that forms the inner surface of a plastic part.

4. Side Core: A part that forms side holes, recesses, or bosses in a plastic part. It can be withdrawn and reset manually or with the slide within the mold.

5. Insert: When the die or core has a vulnerable or difficult-to-machine area, it is manufactured separately from the main part and embedded in the mold.

6. Movable Inserts: Molded parts that must be ejected from the mold along with the plastic part to ensure separation from the mold due to process and structural requirements.

7. Blocks: Several separately manufactured molded parts that are assembled to form a die or core. They can be called die blocks or core blocks, respectively.

8. Threaded Cores: Molded parts used to form internal threads on plastic parts. They can be movable threaded cores (removable from the mold) or threaded cores that rotate within the mold.

9. Threaded Rings: Molded parts used to form external threads on plastic parts. They can be movable threaded rings (integral or split) or threaded rings that rotate and move within the mold.

10. Guide Pins: Cylindrical parts that mate with guide sleeves (or holes) mounted on the other half of the mold to ensure the guiding accuracy of the movable mold during opening and closing. There are two types of guide pins: headed guide pins and shouldered guide pins.

11. Ejector Plate Guide Pin: A cylindrical component that forms a smooth fit with the ejector plate guide sleeve (or hole) and serves as a guide for the ejector mechanism.

12. Guide Sleeve: A circular sleeve-shaped component that mates with the guide pin mounted on the other half of the mold to maintain the relative position of the movable and fixed molds and ensure the guiding accuracy of the mold opening and closing movements. There are two types: straight guide sleeves and headed guide sleeves.

13. Ejector Rod: A rod that directly ejects plastic parts or solidified material from the gating system. These include cylindrical head ejectors, shouldered ejectors, and flat head ejectors. Cylinder head ejectors can be used to push the ejector plate and are also called pre-rods.

14. Ejector Tube: A tubular component that directly ejects plastic parts.

15. Ejector Plate: A plate-shaped component that directly ejects plastic parts.

16. Ejector Ring: A ring-shaped or disc-shaped component that partially or completely ejects plastic parts.

17. Ejector Fixing Plate: A plate-shaped component that secures the ejection and reset components and the ejector plate guide sleeve.

18. Ejector: A plate component that supports the ejection and reset components and directly transmits the ejection force of the machine tool.

19. Connecting Ejector: A rod that connects the ejector plate and the ejector plate fixing plate, transmitting the thrust.

20. Puller: A rod with a unique head shape, located directly opposite the main runner, capable of pulling out the slurry from the main runner. Head shapes include Z-shaped, spherical, inverted cone, mushroom, and conical.

21. Runner Plate: A plate component that ejects the slurry from the gating system as the mold opens. Also called a pusher plate.

22. Ejector Guide Bushing: A circular sleeve-shaped component fixed to the ejector plate, forming a sliding fit with the ejector plate guide pin, and guiding the movement of the demolding mechanism.

23. Gate: A bushing component with a main runner channel that directly contacts the injection molding machine nozzle.

24. Gate Insert: To extend the service life of the gate, a replaceable, wear-resistant metal insert is used.

25. Runner Plate: A plate specifically designed to create a manifold, which can be divided into hot runner plates and warm runner plates.

26. Secondary Nozzle: A nozzle that directly or indirectly provides a feed channel from the hot runner plate (column) to the mold cavity.
