Recently, the Sandu section of the major and medium repair project from Transfan Road to Erduguan in Shangrao Province of Jiangxi has started. This is the first time that the domestic modified plastic asphalt mixture with high viscosity and elasticity has been used in the overhaul construction. This new pavement material will be popularized in the overhaul project of provincial highway.

Compared with the original asphalt pavement, the new asphalt pavement adds rubber, resin, polymer, grinding rubber powder and other modifiers to improve the performance of asphalt mixture. The pavement laid with it has good durability, wear resistance, high temperature does not soften, low temperature does not crack. The application of these new materials and technologies can improve pavement performance, prolong road service life and reduce maintenance costs.

The implementation of the construction of 7.187 kilometers of asphalt pavement overhaul using high viscosity high elastic modified asphalt materials, in order to restore highway driving comfort, has completed the paving length of nearly 500 meters.
