For structural and dimensional precision, tolerances need close attention. Critical parts like screw bosses and mating surfaces must stay within ±0.05 to ±0.1 mm. Large frames can be looser, ±0.1 to ±0.3 mm. The assembly gaps should be kept at 0.05 to 0.1 mm for a snug fit.
The wall thickness is key too. Design for uniformity between 1.5 and 3.0 mm, allowing no more than a 15% deviation. Thick spots use around 60 to 70 percent of the rib’s thickness to prevent warping and shrinking.
Adding ribs, bosses, and fillets keeps everything sturdy. Draft angles of 1 to 3 degrees make removing molds a breeze.
