Accuracy of dimensions: Tolerance control (±0.05-±0.1mm for precision parts) to allow proper assembling with inner parts (motors, circuit boards, etc.)
Mechanical strength: Ability to withstand impact (pass 1.5 m drop test without cracks), tensile strength should be at least 30 MPa, and resistance to deformations when stressed.
Safety Requirements:
Resistance to fire (should meet the UL94 V-0/V-1 standard for electrical household appliances).
Emission of volatile organic compounds should not exceed the RoHS, REACH standards.
Insulating properties: volume resistivity should be at least 10¹⁴Ω*cm for shells of high-voltage household appliances (air conditioners, electric water heaters).
Environmental resistance:
If it is for kitchen appliances: resistance to oils, acids and alkalis, no yellowing after 1000h of heat exposure (temperature – 80°C).
