Silicone Resin Polymer

In 1943, a Scottish engineer, James Wright, was conducting mixture experiments in a test tube at the General Electric Company laboratory in Connecticut, USA. He accidentally mixed boric acid with silicone oil, causing them to "polymerize." When Wright extracted this sticky mixture from the test tube, he dropped some on the floor. Surprisingly, the substance bounced off the floor, and thus, elastic putty was born.

Wright decided to find a practical use for his invention, and finally, SillPutty™ made its debut at the International Toy Fair in New York in 1950. After persistent efforts, some large toy distributors decided to distribute SillPutty™, and the rest is history.

Material Properties:

Gradually flattens under gravity, 80% bounce (relative to the drop height), an expanding compound, solid and maintains its shape when pressure is applied quickly; liquid and easily molded when pressure is applied gradually, cooling increases elasticity, floats on water when shaped like a boat, sinks when shaped like a ball, non-toxic, non-irritating, highly elastic, available in various colors.

Typical Uses: Currently no other applications.
