Polyurethane Technoge (PU)

This skin-like material breathes and stretches, yet can be molded into various thicknesses and shapes. These properties were initially applied in the medical and orthopedic industries, used as cushioning material for hospital patients. Technoge is one of the materials that has been experimentally applied to new and more common household product areas.

Technoge is a combination of both liquid and solid states. The liquid can be poured into molds to obtain products, meaning other substances can be easily incorporated. In sheet form, the material can be shaped by stamping or cutting. Compared to water or silicone-based gels, its advantage is that it contains no plasticizers, meaning the material does not easily lose its basic properties over time. It is the only gel that does not crack, harden, or age.

Material Properties:

Excellent pressure distribution, breathable (good absorption and release), strong recovery ability, easily mixed with decorative materials, strong shock absorption and pressure absorption, adjustable hardness, high elasticity, non-fading, adhesive, non-irritating to the skin, can be injection molded.

Typical Uses: Bicycle seats, orthopedic cushions, insoles, office chairs, tennis racket handles

Main Processes: Injection molding, stamping, cutting
